While summer may be coming to an end, the outdoor summer concerts do not need to. If you’ve enjoyed what the City has had to offer up until now, you’re in luck. These concerts continue with the Westfield Sweet Sounds Downtown Encore series throughout September.

Westfield Sweet Sounds Downtown Encore 2026
Sweet Sounds Downtown Westfield officially ended last week. But this always popular concert series offers an encore for September. It continues from 6 pm to 9 pm on Quimby Street. The encore takes place primarily on Fridays (with the exception of September 10th). Grateful Dead Tribute kicks off the encore series on September 4th. September 10th features Country Line Dancing. Yacht Rock takes the stage on September 18th. And dueling pianos close out the month on September 25th.
Scotch Plains Fall Brush Pick Up 2026
Don’t forget! Scotch Plains is ready to pick up your brush and tree limbs on September 8th. This service is offered free of charge. All you need to do is put it ready for pick up. To do so, simply put them in piles at the curb starting now. You must separate your vegetative waste into leaves, branches, and gumballs. Branches cannot be longer than six feet and no bigger around than two inches. As long as you follo the guidelines, the City will pick them up. The City has a couple of different teams to pick up all around the City on pick up day.
