Tour de Westfield 2025

On Sunday, September 14th, hundreds of cyclists of all ages take a quick trip around Westfield. Unlike the Tour de France that treks over 2000 miles of mountainous terrain, the Tour de Westfield only encompasses three miles of fairly even terrain. The day’s events start off with a “learn to ride” class for five to ten-year-olds. Students learn basic safety guidelines as well as cycling techniques. All registered participants must bring their own bike and appropriately-sized helmet with them. After a brief bicycle parade, cyclists begin their three-mile course at South Ave Train Station.

Registration Information

While it costs nothing to participate in the classes, parade, or ride, everyone must register ahead of time. The first 300 people to check in on the day of the ride receive a free commemorative hat. To register, please visit the official Westfield Recreation Department’s website here. You must create an account. But that only takes a couple of minutes. Make sure you register before 4:30 pm on September 11th. Otherwise, you miss your chance to participate.

Union County Home Repair Grants for Seniors

Just a quick reminder. If your Union County home received damage from one of the storms last month, you may be eligible for a grant to pay for those damages. You must be at least 62 years old, own a Union County home, and meet specific requirements to be eligible. Each grant may be worth as much as $10,000.
