Union County Emergency Home Repair Grants for Seniors

Last month’s storms on July 3rd and July 14th hit Union County residents hard. Some experienced significant damage to their property from the storm. Fortunately, officials put together Union County Emergency Home Repair Grants for seniors whose properties were affected by these storms.

Union County Emergency Home Repair Grants for Seniors

Are you or someone who owns your Union County home at least 62 years of age? If your home a single-family or two-family home? Is your mortgage up-to-date? Are your property taxes paid to date? If you fall within the county’s low to moderate income requirements, you may be eligible for as much as $10,000 in grant money to help pay for repairs caused by last month’s storms.

How do you apply? Visit the Union County website here. Answer the pre-application questions at the bottom of the page. Once your application is submitted, an inspection of your property will need to be done. Repairs the inspector deems necessary will be listed and a cost estimate for those repairs will be provided. This estimate helps determine how much of a grant you qualify for. Some homeowners may also qualify for additional help through the Union County Home Improvement Program. Sweet Sounds Downtown Westfield 2025

Have you made it out to either a Tuesday or Thursday night concert this summer yet? Well, you had better hurry. There are only a couple of weeks left before the Sweet Sounds Downtown Westfield concert series ends for the year. Two concerts take place every Tuesday with another one happening on Thursdays. All are provided free of charge with the last one taking place on Thursday, August 28th.

Summer Sounds Downtown Cranford 2025

Not to be outdone, Cranford also offers their own concert series this summer. Sweet Sounds Downtown Cranford also takes place every Thursday at Eastman  Clock Plaza. Like Westfield, the last concert for this summer in Cranford takes place on Thursday, August 28th as well. Again, all concerts are free of charge. Enjoy!
