Westfield Story Walk 2026

Westfield Memorial Library teamed up with the Downtown Westfield Corporation to create the very first Story Walk. They chose two different children’s books to highlight for these walks. North side businesses feature Ruth Chan’s “Thank You, Neighbor” while south side businesses showcase Camelia Kay’s “Fall Parade”. The purpose of this event is to encourage a love of reading in a new, fun way…through the enlarged pages of children’s books on display at various downtown businesses. Westfield Sweet Sounds Downtown Encore

Free outdoor evening concerts have always been a big hit here in Westfield. We couldn’t just let them go at the end of August. Organizers of Sweet Sounds Downtown decided to extend this wonderful evening of entertainment through September with their Sweet Sounds Downtown Encore. While the previous Sweet Sounds took place on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week, the encore offers them on Fridays only for the rest of September (with the exception of September 11th). Each concert takes place from 6 pm to 9 pm on Quimby Street. Simply bring a chair for your comfort, scout out a spot, and enjoy.
